Content Marketing Associate

CookinGenie, an early growth stage hospitality tech company, is looking for the newest addition to its small but mighty team. CookinGenie is a personal chef platform that makes it easy for anyone to book a personal chef instantly.  

Job Description 

With established representation in Ohio, Florida, Kentucky & DC markets, we are looking for the next asset for our team as we continue to scale. This person will support various aspects of the business with a focus on Social Media and Email Marketing. They will also be responsible for assisting the Partnership & Events Manager in prospecting and promoting CookinGenie to potential B2B2C partners. This position will also serve as a CookinGenie representative at events where appropriate. 

This is a contract position starting at 15 hours/week at $20/hr with the potential for extended hours as the year progresses. It is fully remote with the possibility of travel for local events. Preference will be given to candidates in South Florida and Central Florida regions for ease of event travel. 

Responsibilities  

Email Calendar  

Content creation for marketing and Chef emails in concept and copy. Design is not required. 

Plan a cadence & calendar of content for emails based on events, season and engagement. 

Social Media Calendar  

Content creation for public facing accounts. 

Planning calendar in advance for all platorms. 

Posting through automated planner or in real time as needed. 

Social Media Engagement  

Managing a list of FB Groups. 

Engaging with FB Groups in comments and regular posting where allowed. 

Events  

Represent CookinGenie at local events where appropriate. 

Travel will be required. 

Partnerships & Sponsorships Assist 

Identify localized organizations and publications to sponsor and advertise. 

Identify and enroll prospective B2B2C partners into a communication sequence. 

 

Qualifications  

High School or GED with some post-secondary education  

People person & Self-starter 

Basic understanding of social media, email marketing and their metrics 

Creative storytelling – saying the same thing in a thousand different ways 

Tech Savvy & Organized in the cloud; Experience in Hubspot or similar CRM a plus 

Remote set up with high-speed internet; regular virtual meetings will keep us connected 

Excellent communication skills 

Brownie points, but not required: Hospitality experience, graphic design experience
