Finance Coordinator

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to Resettlement and Immigration Services.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Facilitates the allocation and reconciliation of program/grant funding in coordination with the finance department 

Tracks financials for meeting grant requirements for match component across fiscal years 

Facilitates resolutions for urgent resettlement finance needs 

Collects financial data and prepares backup documentation for monthly invoice submission to United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) 

Communicates with USCCB on technical issues in billing software system (MRIS) 

Reviews and submits MRIS vouchers and communicates with resettlement staff when discrepancies arise 

Assists management with reviewing budgets for upcoming fiscal year 

Assists with credit card and expense tracking via approved agency process and procedure 

Demonstrates the ability to assist with budget management and manage credit cards, purchase orders and other expenses that impact the budget. 

Demonstrates ability to meet multiple deadlines, be well organized, and work independently.  

Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner. 

Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. 

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills. 

Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required with 3 years of  

related experience in accounting/accounts payable/accounts receivable. Prior work experience in non-profit environment/organization preferred.
