Registered Nurse, Crisis Residential Program

 Are you looking to make a difference in your next position?  As a Registered Nurse in our Crisis Residential Program (The Lodge) you will be a part of our unique program providing individuals in the midst of an acute behavioral health crisis the opportunity to recover in a welcoming home-like environment while engaging in a daily therapeutically rich program.  We currently have PART TIME Shifts available!!  

As an RN at the Lodge, you will have a dynamic skill set allowing you to complete medical evaluations, de-escalate individuals in crisis, manage the dynamics between clients, be aware of medical and psychiatric medications and symptoms and provide therapeutic support.  

Available Shifts (can done as an alternate week shift, or split into individual shifts)

  • Saturday:  8am – 8:30 pm
  • Sunday:  8am – 8:30 pm

What You’ll Offer: 

  • License as a Registered  Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
    • Applicants holding a multistate license from a compact state can be considered
  • Prior Experience and knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation practices
    • 3 years' experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
  • Working knowledge of crisis services and psychotropic medicines highly preferred
  • Experience using Electronic Health Records
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job description, with or without accommodation

What You’ll Do: 

  • Medical evaluations under the supervising medical team
    • Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client within 24 hours of admission
    • Verify prescriptions and use of medications of clients
  • Nursing Care
    • Improving physical health issues
    • Provide education regarding illnesses
    • Help schedule appointments and tests
  • Crisis Stabilization
    • Maintain vigilance and be prepared to respond to a residents’ needs and emergencies
    • Possess the ability to see and hear all crises/emergencies to ensure resident and site safety and security
  • Medication Management
  • Care Coordination
    • Coordinate medical referrals and ongoing care
    • Ensure clients receive psychiatric assessment
    • Liaison with family members and other natural supports
    • Document all assessments and treatments
