News Analysis Intern

Do you want to expose and analyze the leftist bias in the media through blogging and research?

NewsBusters interns at the Media Research Center (MRC) will have the opportunity to contribute to one of the nation’s most widely read conservative blogs, NewsBusters. Interns will track a daily beat of media outlets to monitor for political bias and assist with research studies then craft blogs to to expose the bias to the maximum extent possible.

 

The NewsBusters department at MRC looks for interns that have:

  • Knowledge in current events
  • Ability to present ideas concisely and clearly in writing
  • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research
  • Desire to combat media bias and communicate truth to news consumers
  • Ability to meet deadlines

 

This internship is designed for conservative-minded students and recent graduates. We hire interns during three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer). The current application is for our Fall internship program. Our internship for the Fall 2024 session begins on September 9, 2024 and runs through December 6, 2024.

MRC internship program operates solely in-person, remote work is unavailable.

Interns at MRC are paid $12/hr.

The Media Research Center is a 501(c)3 research and education organization that has been the nation’s premier media watchdog since 1987. We are committed to neutralizing left-wing bias in the news media and popular culture. We do this through analysis and research (NewsBusters), blogs and video (MRCTV), and a complex grassroots and marketing initiative. Because we are a nonprofit, we are careful about our resources, and one of our greatest resources is a team of interns who are excited to learn and promote our work.
