Summary/Objective: 
Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) is one of the most respected and privately owned orthopedic practices in the area, providing trusted care for generations throughout Central Pennsylvania. Our Locations consist of Lancaster, Willow Street, Manheim, Lebanon, and Ephrata, PA. OAL is a progressive practice that prides itself on quality service and patient care.

 

We are seeking a Human Resources Intern to help us throughout the summer to be part of our HR team. The HR Intern will be able to participate in and be part of various HR projects.  This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is currently enrolled in a college or university program with the goal of working in HR after graduation.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in the recruitment process to learn how to recruit and hire staff.
  • Help us assist with reviewing and updating our job descriptions.
  • Assist in the new hire orientation process.
  •  Develop an employee event calendar to build employee engagement.
  • Participates in company-wide communications, including HR and wellness.
  • Assists in scanning employee files.
  • Provides insight into how to attract more people to the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Student must be currently enrolled in a college or university degree program.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite of products.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled a Human Resources major or minor field of study.
  • Currently entering in junior or senior year of college.
