The Basics:

  • This role is on the Center for Leadership, Advancement, Education & Development team
  • You'll be reporting to Becky O'Meara
  • The pay is expected to be $20
  • The key function(s) of this role call for Research, Communications
  • The anticipated time commitment is 20 hours per week
  • The location of this role is remote or hybrid
  • The work hours are: Mostly within 9-5 (EST)
  • The end date is: 12/11/24

What You'll Achieve:

  • Synthesizing information into high-level key take-aways
  • Writing up city examples and success stories for posting
  • Working with partner organizations on project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Engaging in outreach to cities and partners to create public-facing events
  • Contributing to planning, content development, and execution for the overall grant initiative

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • Long-form writing
  • Qualitative research and surveying

Nice to Haves:

  • Project NLC is looking for a graduate or experienced undergraduate fellow (contract position) to contribute to city engagement and collating best practices on the topic of housing quality and health in cities. Traits of a Successful Candidate
  • Strong communications skills and experience managing multiple partnerships
  • An organized self-starter who can work well with direction
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with city leaders, practitioners, and NLC staff members
