Writer Intern (Fall 2024)

BrightHouse is looking for a writer intern whose personal purpose and values align with ours, to join our growing team of “inter-disciplinarians” in Atlanta. BrightHouse has been the source and resource of purpose for over two decades. We work with visionary companies and nonprofits to harness the power of purpose to drive positive social impact.

 

We're seeking someone who thinks creatively, writes eloquently, and works enthusiastically. This person will have the following traits: excellent work ethic; exceptional creative instincts; ability to thrive in a collaborative, collegial, and pressurized environment; high integrity; excellent judgment, and a hungry curiosity.

 

The BrightHouse internship program is a paid internship in our Atlanta office, September-December 2024. We look forward to having you in office three days a week and expect candidates to reside in Atlanta for the duration of the internship. Candidates must be available for full-time work schedules.

 

WRITER INTERN REQUIREMENTS

  • at least two years of college
  • absolute command of the English language
  • Examples of creative writing in a portfolio site or a link to a PDF. Can be ads, experience ideas, stories, or other forms of writing.

  

WRITER INTERN ROLE

  • contribute creative copy and conceptual ideas for client projects, in the form of headlines, film scripts, purpose lines, narratives, and activation concepts
  • work efficiently and effectively and demonstrate time management excellence
  • willing to assist wherever needed supporting client work

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At BrightHouse we believe in harnessing the power of business for social good. A writer intern must be extremely coordinated and able to flip between multiple brands, each with a different voice and tone. This is an internship, so you don’t need to have any prior work history in advertising, but you do need an impressive portfolio. We’re looking for an enthusiastic person who:

  • Reads lots of publications
  • Can come up with amazing ideas that also relate to the strategy and follow the client brief
  • Has multiple causes and charities they care deeply about
  • Able to speak Internet
  • Capable of concepting for social media and mobile applications
