Business Development Analyst
Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a rapidly growing management and social sciences consulting firm, is seeking a Business Development Analyst. MSG provides consulting services across the federal government in the areas of technical assistance, research and evaluation, information and communications, and management and technology. Our federal clients include the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Labor, and the National Science Foundation. MUST BE LOCATED IN THE WASHINGTON, DC METRO AREA.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Provide general administrative support to the MSG Business Development (BD) team.
- Take time to understand MSG services, markets, content areas, and differentiators.
- Develop a strong understanding of both customer requirements and the company's services, helping to ensure proper alignment.
- Assist BD team with managing/developing a pipeline of federal government opportunities for the organization to bid on that align with MSG’s strategic vision and tactical plan.
- Help to research and monitor potential/pending/active bid opportunities (via Deltek GovWin, Grants.gov, SAM.com, etc.) and promptly notify team members of released solicitations, subsequent amendments, extensions, Q&As, cancellations, etc.
- Conduct opportunity and information searches using tools such as FBO, FPDS, USAS pending, GovWin, agency forecasts, and internal databases.
- Work on and further MSG’s knowledge management systems in file storage, SMEs database, capture information, etc.
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of business development, capture, knowledge management, and strategic planning processes within the organization.
- Help to evolve, update and improve BD resources and tools such as Smart Sheet and MS Excel worksheets including developing and presenting BD activity summary reports as requested.
- Organize meetings; prepare necessary presentation materials and distribute as needed; attend and take notes; distribute minutes to all participants; participate in and facilitate meetings as needed.
- Display an elevated level of verbal and written communication skills for presenting and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or another closely related field of study, from an accredited college or university.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint
- 2-5 years’ post-graduation progressive experience in business development or similar research-focused role(s); preferably in the government contracting or management consulting space.
