Technical Operations Specialist

Position Description

We are a 24-year-old technology company, and our product is used by many of the finest museums in the country.  We are embarking on an exciting new growth plan. Operations Specialist duties include working in a team environment and performing operational duties to exceed customer expectations. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8-5.  Pay commensurate with experience, skills and performance. Reimbursement for relocation expenses is not offered in this position.

Job Specific Duties

  1. Managing procurement and shipping process
  2. Configuration of server hardware
  3. Research and evaluate technical products to support quoting
  4. Customer-service helpdesk assistance
  5. Software upgrades
  6. On-site service and installation as needed

Work environment

In-office position local and negligible amount of out-of-town travel as needed

Education, Certifications, Other Requirements

Must haves 

  1. Minimum 2 years post-education experience
  2. Strong organizational skills
  3. Technical experience or aptitude
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Strong work ethic
  6. Quick learner

Nice to haves

  1. College degree
  2. Networking experience
  3. Linux experience
  4. Loves technology or art
