Graphic Designer/Illustrator intern for Medical Malpractice Insurance Book Series

Position: Graphic Designer/Illustrator Internship for Medical Malpractice Insurance Book Series (Credited as Illustrator)
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Compensation: $1500 stipend

About Peer Review Holdings, LLC:
We are adapting a malpractice insurance book, originally designed for dentists, to be applicable to a broader range of medical and surgical specialties. This initiative aims to educate new medical and surgical graduates on malpractice insurance and related subjects for business application in private practice. We are offering a summer internship for a Graphic Designer to work closely with our team of editors to create engaging visuals aids for the books and design related book covers for the series. The intern will be credited as the illustrator for their work. Many of the visual aids will be reused across all the book series.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with our Director of Marketing throughout the duration of the project.
  • Collaborate with editors to understand their visual needs for each book.
  • Design a cohesive set of informative, visually engaging graphics, charts, and diagrams to enhance the book's content. 
  • Ensure consistency in style and formatting throughout, as most of these visual elements will be used across all chapters, supporting the text and providing clarity for readers.
  • Design eye-catching and professional book covers for each of the specialty books.
  • Incorporate feedback from the editorial team and make necessary revisions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
  • Maintain open communication with the team to ensure a smooth workflow.


Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design
  • Portfolio showcasing ability to create informative and engaging visuals.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
