Administration Intern - Purchasing

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Procurement and Purchasing Intern to join our Purchasing team. This internship will offer you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in end-to-end procurement operations within a fast-paced professional environment. You will work closely with our team to streamline contract management, purchasing processes, and end user procurement training initiatives.  This position will work approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and management of internal and external customer relationships.
  • Assist with project research, development and implementation.  
  • Support the procurement team in daily purchasing activities.
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights on potential savings and product availability.
  • Complete market research to determine industry standards and price reasonableness verification.
  • Help collect historical data from past projects and create a central database for future reference.
  • Participate in the improvement of procurement strategies and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in procurement or purchasing is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eager to learn with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Starting Hourly Rate:

$15/hour
