AA Intern - Project Management

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and organized project management intern to join our dynamic team and assist with various tasks related to planning, executing, and monitoring projects. This internship is designed to offer real-world insights and exposure to actual projects, providing a solid foundation in managing projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with our project managers and other team members to learn about project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects by performing research, analysis, documentation, and communication tasks.

Ideal candidates should attend school in the Dallas-Fort Worth region and be able to work up to 20 hours per week while attending school.

Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects.
  • Assist with creating and updating project documents, such as project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, status reports, etc.
  • Conduct research and analysis on project-related topics, such as market trends, competitors, stakeholders, etc.
  • Communicate with internal and external project stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, team members, etc.
  • Participate in project meetings and workshops and take notes and action items.
  • Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest and passion for project management and learning new skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment, such as political science, urban/regional planning, public administration, or related field.
  • No work experience required

Starting Salary:

$15.00 per hour
