Fair Worker - Operations

LANE COUNTY FAIR 

HAVE A BLAST WORKING FOR THE LANE COUNTY FAIR! 

The Fair arrives July 24, 2024 - July 28, 2024!

The Lane County Fair is looking for enthusiastic Individuals to join our Operations team for the upcoming fair! As a fair worker, you will have the opportunity to interact with the public, work in a fast-paced environment, and help make the fair a success. 

We offer competitive pay at $15.00/hour and a fun work environment. 

Fair Operations: 

As a fair operations worker, you will help set up, maintain, and keep the fair sparkling while it is in full swing. You will help with setting up equipment, garbage pickup, barn maintenance. janitorial work, and more. 

Typical job duties include the following: 

  • Trash Duty
  • Cleaning our various facilities and bathrooms
  • Sweeping, Mopping, General Cleaning
  • Setting up and taking down equipment such as tables, chairs, animal pens/stalls
  • General Landscaping
  • General Manual Labor
  • Helping direct vendors and patrons as needed during fair hours

Job Duration: 

These roles may offer hours for multiple weeks/months leading up to and after the fair.

The job duration is approximately Mid-May through August for setup and tear-down activities. Fair dates are July 24th through July 28th.

* These positions are budgeted for maximum of 520 hours during the fiscal year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training & Experience: 

  • NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

Minimum Requirements include: 

  • Being a friendly, upbeat, and tech-savvy individual who likes to work in a fun and fast-paced environment.
  • You must be able to interact professionally with the public, co-workers, and county officials.
  • You must be hardworking, positive, and willing to help in all areas.
  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to carry/lift 50 LBS.
  • Ability to work mornings and evening hours.
