Social and Digital Media Assistant

The Social & Digital Media Assistant is to assist Company and it’s managers, directors, employees in it’s planning and execution of the social media and digital media strategy. The Assistant will learn about the Company’s business, gain valuable insight and experience and position him/her self for potential employment with the company.

The Assistant will play an active role in the development of Company’s online community. The Assistant will maintain Company’s presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to our community, brand influencers and potential shareholders/investors.

He/she will regularly analyze and report to the assigned manager on the activity on social media networks as well as the Company’s website and maintain a “live” and daily updated report of all delivered social and digital media content.

He/she will also assist in maintaining Company’s archive of digital images, videos, and other content. The Assistant will learn how to reach communities and promote events or programs through the Internet and gain experience in social media platforms and the tools used to assess their performance.

Requirements

• Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration

• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Microsoft applications

• Basic photo-‐editing and video-‐editing software, and Internet browsers

• Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)

• Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube/Google+ and LinkedIn

• Available to work 10-20 hours per week
