Marketing Platforms Team Lead

Information Technology – Remote (U.S. Based)

 

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Marketing Platforms Team Lead for the Enterprise Marketing Management team. This position will serve as the team and technical platform lead supporting the marketing efforts of the ministry, developing, and delivering marketing campaign capabilities using the enterprise’s marketing tools (Lytics CDP, Iterable, HCL Unica, etc.) across various delivery channels (mail, email, phone, email, web push, mobile push, SMS, social channels, etc.)

 

This individual will provide a bridge between Information Technology, Business Operations, Marketing and Corporate Support functions to understand marketing requirements and efficiently build, integrate, and configure marketing platforms that meet those requirements.  This position is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting custom applications and integrations in support of CBN’s multi-channel marketing initiatives. Candidate will demonstrate the ability to challenge the status quo, to influence others to embrace new technologies, and to motivate others toward continual improvement in the performance of the organization.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in the design, development, and support of marketing solutions 
  • Five years of practical experience working in Information Technology, a technical Marketing role, or related experience
  • Ability and experience to author sophisticated queries using available SQL features
  • Data modeling experience in creating and modifying enterprise class database designs
  • Strong consideration given to platform skills in at least one of the following areas:
    • Experience with a Marketing Campaign Segmentation and Operations platform
    • Strong preference for Lytics CDP and Iterable
    • Microsoft SQL Server 
  • Methodology experience in the following areas: Agile, Extreme Programming, Scrum or equivalent development methodologies, Test-Driven development practices
  • Software development language skills in the following areas: SQL, ASP.NET, C#, Web technologies (Javascript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DHTML, XML, etc.)
  • Object oriented software design skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers
  • Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills; critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work through analytical problems characterized by incomplete data, multiple stakeholders, and ambiguous scope
  • Database marketing experience is strongly preferred. Non-profit industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or college with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred
