Objectives of This Role:

As the Art Director at Kid Explorer Club, your main objective is to translate marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive campaigns that stimulate targeted audiences. You will work in a fast-paced environment and love the challenge of discovering what makes consumers “click”. You will cooperate with a design-savvy team to devise an overall concept.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the copywriter
2. Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas
3. Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
4. Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
5. Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
6. Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions
7. Present completed ideas to clients/team members
8. Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as Art Director
2. Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design
3. Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
4. Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
5. Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
6. Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
7. Relevant education or training

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience in education, children's entertainment, or related industry.
2. Bachelor's Degree in design or relevant industry 
    
3. Graphic design or multimedia skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
