Position Overview:

We are seeking a driven Software Engineer Intern to lead the development of a highly secure communication app designed for iOS devices. In this internship/volunteer position, you will not only showcase your skills but also have the chance to make a significant impact in the educational sector. This position offers the potential for a permanent or part-time role within our organization, The Huggins Foundation Inc. Dba The Young Talons children's nonprofit K-12 private academy, post-graduation, based on mutual synergy and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our team to define technical requirements and architecture for the secure communication app.

Design and implement features for text, video, and speech communication while prioritizing security and privacy.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the app's reliability and functionality.

Implement encryption protocols and security measures to protect user data and communications.

Work closely with UX/UI design team to ensure an intuitive user experience.

Stay updated on latest developments in mobile app development and cybersecurity to integrate best practices into the app.

 

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a Computer Science or Software Engineering program with focus on mobile app development and cybersecurity.

Proficiency in Swift (for iOS development) and understanding of cybersecurity principles.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
