Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and expanding current surveillance efforts to characterize morbidity and mortality related to opioids and emerging drugs in Oakland County, including the integration of social epidemiology to determine behavioral risk factors of opioid overdose to guide targeted prevention efforts. Identifies evidence-based practices, assessing progress towards goals, and evaluating overdose prevention programs. Prepares and delivers data reports and presentations to community stakeholders, the general public, and other constituencies. Develops and disseminates relevant visualizations to communicate impact to stakeholders. Supports task forces or community coalitions related to drug overdose and injury prevention. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possess a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) or a Master’s of Science in Public Health (MSPH) degree including courses in Epidemiology.

2. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.
