What Are We Looking For?

GOBankingRates is looking for an Editorial Intern for our 2024 GOInterns Program!   We’re looking for someone with an interest in writing and editing who can help support our Editorial team. The ideal candidate is passionate about content creation, able to write clean copy in a timely manner and is willing and eager to learn new tools and skills. Working under a lead writer and editor, this internship will give you the unique opportunity to have your stories published on a number of our syndicate partner sites, including Yahoo Finance, MSN and Flipboard. An interest in personal finance topics is a plus, but not a must!

This is a minimum 16-week internship beginning in Fall that will provide hands-on experience working on challenging real-world problems that will help build your expertise and resume!

How Will You Make an Impact?

  • Write 2-5 stories per week that have the potential to be read by millions of people.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to develop titles that drive us toward our traffic goals.
  • Learn to analyze data to make informed decisions about the topics we write about.
  • Have your voice heard - We are always open to new ways of doing things, so your feedback on increasing efficiency and/or improving quality is more than welcome!

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
  • General Interest in Digital Media/ Online Advertising.
  • Experience writing or editing outside of the classroom (at a previous internship or as part of an
    extracurricular activity).
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong communication, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday-Friday between 9:00AM - 6:00PM PST for the duration of the 16-week program.
