Sr. Staff Accountant -Client Reporting

What's the opportunity?

Client Reporting

• Works closely with Accounting supervisor to help in preparation of client forecasts
• Help with preparation of mid-month revenue estimates
• Prepare and analyze spend, inventory and sales reports
• Prepare freight reconciliations for billing & freight analysis reporting at transaction level
• Perform data analysis and provide reporting related to freight trends by client
• Works to resolve client reporting related questions and requests
• Partners with billing, production and client teams to ensure client report accuracy

General Accounting

• Prepare Journal Entries and month-end close deliverables: Margin, Expense and Forecast Analyses
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for accuracy, verifying audit substantiation and ensuring reconciling items clear in a timely manner.
• Assist with audit documentation within deadlines for Sarbanes-Oxley Testing & other audit requests.

Other

• Develop and maintain positive partnerships with cross functional teams.
• Maintain good communication with clients and respond to client requests.
• Update and Maintain Processes and Procedures
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all IMS accounting processes.
• Special projects as necessary

Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work through large volumes of data
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Team-player who can also work independently with attention to detail
• Great Excel skillset is a must (Pivot table creation, VLOOKUP, If/then formulas, etc)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
