2024 HR Summer Intern

HR Intern (On-site)

Midsize Chicago law firm is seeking a dynamic and motivated HR Intern to join our team and contribute to various aspects of human resources management. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and other HR-related duties. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for human resources. 

The HR internship program is scheduled for up to 10 weeks from June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024. The program will be on-site based out of our Chicago office.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Assist in posting jobs to appropriate job boards/colleges, etc.
  • Gathers and organizes job applications.
  • Schedules interviews and confirms applicant availability.
  • Ensure completion of all new hire paperwork and electronic records prior to new hire start date.
  • Assist with audits and other special projects, including new hire orientation, payroll, and benefits.
  • Compile and provide statistical reports.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Enrolled in a university of college program at a senior level pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources management.
  • Prior HR internship experience is a plus.
