UI/UX Intern

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Intern with the ability to wireframe or design sophisticated web and mobile interfaces and who are seeking an opportunity to learn and grow professionally quickly. 

This role requires being onsite in our HQ in Richardson, TX for 2-3 days a week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

You are a creative thinker who is able to translate concepts into usable interface designs. You have a solid understanding of interaction design and fundamental user experience or graphic design principles. You keep up-to-date with the latest UX or design trends, and are constantly evolving and growing your work. You are a self-starter, yet able to take direction from Product Owners, User Interface Designers, User Experience Designers, and collaborate with project teams. Attention to detail and ability to uphold and deliver work at the highest quality standards is essential. 

Desired Skills and Experience

•             Solid portfolio, showcasing excellent UX Deliverables or UI Deliverables (web and mobile interface design) 

•             Passion for designing clean, elegant, and highly usable interfaces that surprise and delight users

•             Competent level of proficiency in Axure, InVision or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)

•             An ability to communicate ideas through wireframes, mockups, sketches, and written specifications or visual design deliverables

•             Knowledge of best practices and tools used in user­focused design

•             Flexibility when working through design revisions, from initial brainstorming though execution and refinement

•             Ability to quickly experiment and iterate on UX or UI interface and interaction concepts

•             Basic understanding of technical considerations related to delivering launch-ready digital assets

•             Strong organization skills for collaborative work

•             B.A. in Design, Fine Arts or similar

Preferred but not required

•             Ability to prototype your designs in HTML/CSS

•             Experience with customer-focused working environments

•             Experience with photo-editing

•             Experience with creating wireframes in Axure or InVision or design deliverables using Adobe Creative Suite
