CAREER OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a skilled Sr. Graphic Designer for our core brand, the luxury dating website Seeking.com. Reporting directly to the Associate Creative Director, the Sr. Graphic Designer’s main responsibilities are to evolve and elevate our brands by ideating new and refreshed creative from conception to execution. This individual will work closely with various Creative/Marketing team members to concept, design, develop, and implement all print, digital, or video-related marketing materials and communications that support the strategy across our brands. This role will collaborate with members from the Digital Marketing and Product teams to ensure deliverables meet best practices for the medium they will be utilized on.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize and create intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent projects for use in digital experiences and traditional marketing campaigns, including advertising, front-end web development, and conversion tactics.
  • Participate and collaborate in conceptual development and design ideation with company executives and marketing team members to define creative strategy.
  • Leads when assigned the creative process by presenting well-developed and strategic creative solutions to meet all project objectives.
  • Ideate and pitch ideas for new creative, including timely delivery of assets.
  • Website – outline storylines, build wireframes, and deliver all assets needed to implement for launch.
  • Responsible for designing/ producing and managing projects with high accuracy (including basic die line structures, logo design, typography, color studies, photo retouching, preparing files for digital and print delivery, etc.)
  • Develop, design, and execute all related marketing materials as briefed
  • Identify marketing and video needs to develop detailed shot lists for photo and video shoots. This includes sourcing wardrobe, props, location, casting talent, and image compositing in post.
  • Optimize image assets for evergreen usage, including retouching and compositing.
  • Consistently research, identify, and share current industry design trends and competitive reviews as they relate to the brand
  • Prepares prototypes and designs for brand presentations
  • Partner with the copywriting team to develop compelling copy that differentiates the consumer brand and stays true to the brand voice and attributes: Modern, Clever, and Innovative.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of content and programs with high engagement rates and strong positive brand buzz.
  • Create engaging creative that will help grow the audience and increase brand awareness for our various brands.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION

  • Education: BS/BA or Associates Degree in Graphic Design / Digital Media
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant in-house or agency experience
  • Program Expertise Required: Adobe XD or Figma, Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign
  • Project Management Tools: Jira, Slack, and Google Calendar
  • Luxury Aesthetic: Strong understanding of luxury brand standards, with the ability to elevate visual content to convey opulence, refinement, and exclusivity.
  • Photo Editing: Experience in high-end beauty retouching, specifically for portraits of models, exclusively using Photoshop. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to bring out the best in each subject while maintaining a natural appearance. Applicants should possess a strong portfolio that showcases before-and-after examples of retouched images, all achieved through Photoshop.
  • Color Grading: Experience in making images from different libraries look as though they were from the same photoshoot. Must have an in-depth understanding of color science and the skills to adjust hues, saturation, and luminance in Lightroom to align with our brand guidelines and aesthetic.
  • Strong Design Portfolio: Demonstrable experience showcasing a diverse range of design projects across various mediums, including web, mobile, and social media.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI Design Principles: Basic understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to create responsive designs that are intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • High-Level Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, color, consistency, and composition with a commitment to producing high-quality designs with precision and accuracy.
  • Creative Conceptualization: Capacity to generate original and innovative design concepts that align with brand objectives and target audience preferences.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements, deadlines, feedback, and design trends in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Capacity to work collaboratively with other departments, designers, copywriters, and stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Organization and Time Management: Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Ability to Work Across Multiple Platforms: Capability to create designs optimized for various platforms, including media, websites, social media, mobile apps, and more.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Aptitude to identify design challenges and propose effective solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Commitment to staying updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies through self-learning, training programs, and industry conferences.
