Internships and Positions SUMMER 2024

Schedule:PT and flexible times

Location: South Coconut Grove

Seeking Mature /Responsible junior, senior or graduate students with creative and technical skills, detail oriented with ability to problem solve.


 


 

 Media Production : Photo, Video & Audio Production

Join our team as a Audio Visual Intern and gain valuable experience in the world of digital marketing. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn and develop skills in various aspects of audiovisual technology, including photography, audio and video editing/post-production,

 

Assist with creating  FWA video and photo documentary series, and enhance your  skills in a variety of disciplines including  production and editing  of video or audio interviews and photo productions. 

 

Experience/Responsibilities: 

Knowledge of

  • DSLR cameras/audio/ lighting
  • Tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and  Final Cut,
  • Assisting at still photo, audio, video sessions
  • Experience with Photoshop and/or Final Cut editing tools.

Thi innternhip  and/or PT  position offers the opportunity to work with  audiovisual technology and contribute to the creation of engaging visual content. If you are an organized  creative with a passion for audiovisual technology, we look forward to receiving your application.

 

 

Marketing/ Web Design/ Social Media

Assist with FWA’s overall branding, enhancing  skills in a variety of disciplines including communications and marketing  strategies.

Experience/Responsibilities 

  • •Technical and writing skills are key for this internship/position.
  • •Assist with development and updating website, marketing and social media
  • •  Work with gallery/museum committee.

 

 

 

 

Current projects include:

 

  • FWA traveling exhibit which has been shown at over 60 venues including The US Senate Russell Rotunda,, The Florida Governor's Mansion, and The HistoryMiami Museum  is preparing to work with a search committee to find a permanent home for the FWA Photographic Documentary, where it can be  permanently housed, exhibited, and available for community showings.

 

  • Website/Learning Hub: With FWA’s goal to reach an expansive  audience, the FWA website is being  redesigned and expanded to include  its educational and mentoring presentations, photographic documentary exhibition, audio lecture programs and video interview. The archives goal is preserve Womens History presenting  a wealth of guidance and historical references. This online portal will chronicle  new leaders and those who have been featured over the last three decades in a platform that gives viewers a sense of history as well as insights into  personal journeys of challenges and opportunities.

 

  • FWA 2024 Honoree are being selected for photographic portraits and audio interview productions.

 

•  Story-Telling Apprenticeship Programs,  interns participate working alongside professionals and other interns to share their backgrounds and talents while  learning   about the art, technology, and business of visual storytelling and responsible journalism.
