AI Developer for Venture-Based Startup (Full-Time, NYC)

Manifest is looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team. We are a Gen Z mental health company at the forefront of the AI-driven mental health market. If you're a problem-solver with a strong background in systems-level programming and a passion for building scalable software, you might be the perfect fit for our team. The team is comprised of individuals from Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, and former early, unicorn startup employees. We are backed by HF0, Soma Capital, Transpose Platform, and a number of other angels. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust features across our platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure using Linux, Bash, and SQL, ensuring system scalability and reliability.
  • Work autonomously on complex projects that may involve compilers, OS-level work, assembly, and more.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and update UI quickly and efficiently, integrating it with backend logic.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure with strong command over Linux, Bash, and SQL.
  • Deep understanding of the tech stack down to the metal, including any experience with assembly, EVM, graphics shaders, CUDA, or kernel work.
  • Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and time complexity.
  • Proficiency in functional programming concepts such as map, filter, and reduce.
  • Familiarity with software design principles and best practices.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about scalability technologies such as AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge or interest in machine learning models such as GPT, LLAMA2, Stable Diffusion, or Whisper is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Swift programming language.
