Marketing Administrator

SoarTech’s Ann Arbor office is looking for individuals interested in helping support our research, development, and implementation of this exciting technology into everyday operations. 

Job Description

This position’s primary functions are social media and marketing administration, as well as onsite facilities and administrative support for our Ann Arbor, Michigan office. This part time or full-time role is an entry level position that offers practical work experiences and industry introduction to cross departmental functions. This position will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts and helping to drive brand awareness. Duties and Responsibilities 

Marketing

  • Coordinates and manages the development of marketing and communication content to include all internal and external facing platforms.
  • Implementing and maintaining presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Ensure social media tools (Facebook Connect, sharing buttons, RSS feeds) are kept up to date.
  • Managing social media campaign duties include creating editorial calendars, producing engaging photos and content for posts, scheduling posts, audience building, running social media advertising campaigns, managing comments/messages/mentions across multiple channels, sharing relevant content to increase engagement, etc.
  • Develop marketing materials for SoarTech sponsored events, meetings, career fairs, trade shows, etc.
  • Prepare press releases for distribution related to SoarTech news and events.
  • Partner with recruiting to develop a recruitment campaign for social media.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Facilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact for onsite office needs at the Ann Arbor office.
  • Supports onsite events, meetings, and day to day functions within the office. Office hours are between 8 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Maintains inventory levels of general café and office supplies; supports reorders/restocks for events as necessary.
  • Collecting and distributing all incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Including trips to FedEx drop off locations.
  • Greets visitors, escorts guests, and ensures all non-employees sign in and out upon arrival and departure from the office.
  • Manages onsite event planning and catering needs for staff/customer events.
  • Supports onsite or offsite project event/demonstration planning as needed.
  • Main onsite point of contact for audio/visual support for conference rooms, meetings, or employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications  

  • A bachelor’s degree or in progress degree in marketing, information technology, business, management, or a related field.
  • Able to collaborate with team members to plan and complete projects.
  • Able to balance and prioritize daily responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity.
  • Expertise using MS Office toolset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong writing skills are required to develop press releases, posts, and other online statements.
  • Demonstrated experience working with geographically distributed team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. 

Preferred Skills

  • Previous work experience in marketing, IT, facilities, administration, or other relevant fields.
  • An advanced degree in a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Prior experience with defense research organizations.
  • Proficiency in photography, with the ability to capture compelling visual content to enhance marketing materials and campaigns.
  • An active Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
