Human Resources Intern

SB Energy Summer Internships!

Are you looking for an internship to jumpstart your career after college? If so, you have come to the right place! SB Energy has exciting internship opportunities. We are currently searching for college students interested in gaining hands-on experience at a fast-paced and innovative energy company. Our internships have a specific focus, but often get broader exposure to SB Energy's business, gaining insight into different areas of the company and into the solar energy/renewable space industry.

This internship will help you acquire marketable HR skills by participating in key HR initiatives and live Projects that will impact employee engagement, employer branding, recruiting, culture, and overall employer value proposition. You will gain broad experience in Human Resources and should be prepared to enter a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the organization and planning of various Employee Engagement activities, including those related to DEI initiatives, with support from the HR team and input from various cross-functional team members.
  • Develop early stage talent program and support Workforce Development efforts with our Talent Development team.
  • Support ongoing content creation for our Life Page on LinkedIn and participate in other employer branding projects. 
  • Update and own the internal DEI committee pages on our intranet and participate in various subcommittees.
  • Recruiting:  
    • Explore & identify new diverse Job Boards. 
    • Research salary compensation benchmarks.
  • Built out CRM function in our ATS and create passive/active recruiting campaigns.
  • Conduct research on HRIS Platforms which excel in Talent Development, LMS, and Performance and present findings to HR team. 
  • Assist in preparation, execution, and reporting of Employee Engagement Survey. 

Skills And Experience

  • Pursuing/received Bachelors, Associate, or Master's degree in human resources, communications or related degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is desired, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Results-driven, accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Passion for our industry and working with people.

Location: Redwood City, CA. We have a hybrid office and remote work set up.
