Grants Contracts Coordinator 2

NEW OPPORTUNITY!

This position will work in the Contracts & Procurement Section within the Central Services Division, this position will be responsible for ensuring the state and its contracted vendors follow grant and contract requirements.

This includes providing the coordination and oversight for grants/contracts entity wide; supervision of development of Requests for Proposals; drafting and negotiating contracts in support of division personnel; serving as point of contact with contracted vendors monitoring contract compliance; seeking resolution of non-compliance issues; interpreting Federal/State guidelines and requirements, developing policy statements, and implementation of corrective actions for contract non-compliance. Information Technology procurement and contracting experience preferred.

  • Salary: $ 28.00 - 30.50 Hourly

Required knowledge.

  • Extensive knowledge of the theory and principles of government accounting, procurement and contracting.
  • Thorough knowledge of state procurement, risk management and contracting laws and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing, and to maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, other agencies, and the public is critical to this position.
  • Ability to perform intellectual analysis and evaluation in forming a variety of administrative and program management responsibilities; to independently research and interpret information and develop evaluation methods and procedure for state and federal contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, General Business or Public Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related field of study.
  • One year of job-related work experience.
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
