Sports Digital Content Producer

KLTV and KTRE are looking for a sports fan who knows how to write and can cover the sports scene in East Texas. The Sports Digital Content Producer will be responsible for gathering and writing about sports figures from East Texas and area results from the high school sports scene. This position will also set up and conduct interviews on our livestream show, East Texas Now, with sports figures and be responsible for a daily sports segment on East Texas Now. They will also host a daily segment on Facebook to review and preview the biggest sports stories that resonate with our audience.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Write up to 15 sports articles per day by viewing broadcasts of sporting events, looking at box scores, attending sporting events, or conducting phone/in-person/virtual interviews
- Produce a daily sports segment to "anchor" on East Texas Now, our all-day streaming service
- Produce a daily segment on station-branded social media talking about and previewing sports stories
- Review sports pages and social media accounts for breaking sports, verify stories, and produce online content
- Post stories online. Execute push alerts
- Making videos and social media posts about sporting events

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Must be willing to cover sports of all kinds. Topics will include football, fishing, baseball, basketball, weight lifting, track, hunting, motorsports, rodeo, etc.
- Interviewing skills
- Strong grasp of basic grammar and AP Style
- Good communication skills
