Health & Wellness Director - Louisville Area YMCA


 

Salary:

$36,000 - $40,000


 

Benefits:

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five-years' experience working within a Wellness/Fitness department, supervisory experience
  • An undergraduate degree (or advanced degree) in exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition, or physical education or relevant professional experience.
  • Must have current first aid, CPR, and other safety certification.
  • Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite computer skills, ability to learn a propriety software, payroll processing, scheduling and general office equipment.
  • Flexible work schedule with the availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.


 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the branch wellness team in implementing the Association's best practice model for excellence in wellness programming and operations.
  • Develops and manages the Wellness budget
  • Responsible for branch personal training and Active Older Adult programming
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other staff to develop and implement interdepartmental programs for members and the community
  • Develops and oversees risk management for wellness facility to ensure facility is clean, safe, and equipment in good repair.
  • Recruits and collaborates with YMCA staff (team members) to enhance and strengthen all programs.
  • Attends all required branch and association meetings.
  • Participates/coordinates special events and fundraising efforts.
  • Promotes and markets Wellness Programs to the surrounding community.
