Project Director - CSP

Job Summary: The project director will lead a multi-year federal grant focused on supporting the growth and expansion of sustainable, equitable, and high-quality charter schools the UCP Charter School area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan including timelines, milestone and resource allocation and a post-grant sustainability plan.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives and success criteria.
  • Monitor project budget ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Hire and lead project team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal grant regulations and reporting requirements including oversee data collection to assess project impact and outcomes.
  • Drive the implementation of a strategic plan for school expansion, identifying viable growth opportunities aligned with the UCP Charter School mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to conduct feasibility studies, market research, and analysis to inform expansion plans.
  • With the COO/CEO, lead the execution of expansion projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
  • Cultivate partnerships and collaboration with relevant organizations to support and facilitate school growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate the ordering of furniture, equipment and curriculum for new campuses
  • Coordinate the writing/submission of new charter applications for new schools.
  • Lead the development of research and writing/publishing of journal articles/conference presentations for Project/Related topics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Training: (or equivalent)

  • Master’s in Education Leadership/ Non-Profit Management/Organizational Management or closely related field.
  • Prefer Florida Teacher Certification.

Minimum Experience (Required)

  • Previous experience managing federal grants including grant writing, compliance, reporting and budget management.
  • Strong school or similar operations experience
  • Experience in developing and leading large-scale projects to completion.
  • Strong collaborative skills in leading and building/leading a team.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
