Instructional Design Intern

As an Instructional Design Intern, you will work directly with talented Instructional Designers and subject matter experts of all levels.  With guidance from an Education Services leader, you will work on a project to create new and update existing eLearning courses and videos for internal employees and external customers. 

The right candidate for our internship will be expected to know commonly used concepts, practices, procedures, and tools for creating eLearning courses and videos.  

This is preferred to be a remote position. Candidates may be asked to be available to participate in on-site team meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

· Design, build, maintain, and manage production of e-learning modules 

· Conduct analysis to identify training needs and updates. 

· Build, maintain, and manage the production of internal training and customer education eMaterials 

· General System administrator for Learning Management System (LMS) solution 

· Maintain and update content on the MatrixCare Customer Community. 

· Assist with Digital Production 

· Use Instructional Design theory to create interactive, engaging web-based learning 

· Integrate adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies for both traditional instructor-led & web-based training material 

· Observe instructor-led training, Sales Demos, and other resources to become Subject Matter Expert on product content as needed for development of e-Learning and Sales Demo modules 

· Convert PPT to videos and interactive training for software training for other departments 

· Work with architecture experts/resources to ensure that technical recommendations are in line with the organization’s current skill sets and technologies 

· Work with Implementation Staff to update training materials with each release 

· Employ flexibility, customer service, conflict resolution, problem solving, innovations and “big picture” thinking 

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2024; May/June 2024 – August/September 2024 

Educational Technology, English, Technical Communications, Education or related discipline or related academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (English, Communications, Education or any related field) 

Instructional design experience a plus 

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

Communicating concepts to learners clearly and to the point. 

Empathy for the end-user/learner and their experience. 

Ability to understand the needs of learners by effectively listening and asking appropriate questions 

Must be highly organized with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects 

Knowledge and proficiency in use of instructional design tools (such as Articulate 360) a plus 

Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically orally and in writing. 

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet deadlines as well also work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision. 

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

Strong writing experiences as demonstrated through educational projects, papers, or other related school work. 

Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills. 

Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations 

Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed

All Interns will be hired through our staffing provider partner and will not be a direct employee of ResMed, your Recruiter will provide more details. 

 

Individual pay decisions will be made by our staffing provider partner and are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Summary base pay: $22.50/hr
