Human Resources Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and clerical support to the department in carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The HR Intern carries out responsibilities to ensure efficiency of the HR Departments functions and contributes to the accomplishment of the HR Departments goals.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Place orders for temporary employees, as well as, reconciliation of temporary agency invoices.

·        Contact applicant and schedule phone screens, interviews and conference rooms, using Outlook. Send confirmation email along with electronic employment application.

·        Post positions on job boards, and keeps track of activity and expiration dates.

·        Assist in monitoring HR Mailbox and forwards resumes to hiring departments.

·        Answer employee’s questions/concerns regarding company policies and procedures.

·        Input New Hire information for Background Check Investigations and monitors status of reports. Notifies HR Manager of potential issues.

·        Schedule Orientation with new hires, HR and hiring department.

·        Ensure all New Hire forms are completed and returned to HR and follows up with employees for missing forms, if necessary. Completes appropriates tasks on New Hire Checklist.

·        Schedule Exit Interviews and prepares PAF for Payroll Administrator.
