Human Resources Internship

 

Summary:

The Human Resources Internship position will support the Human Resources Team, in order to enable the rapid and effective growth of Go-Forth Pest Control, Go Forth Marketing, and Carolina Core Wellness, and subsidiaries, through organic growth and acquisitions with an eye on team performance and compliance. This is a collaborative role that reports to the Human Resources Business Partner and supports the administrative needs of the Human Resources Team. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to fulfill the vision of Go-Forth companies as a growth-engine for the people who work there by providing administrative support to the Human Resources Team under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Plan events for the Human Resources team, and assist in planning of events for companies, branches, and locations as needed.
  • Assists in the preparation of payroll, benefits, and reports as needed, under the direction of the Payroll & Benefits Administrator.
  • Assists in recruitment initiatives, including posting of positions, screening candidates, running background check and drug screens, onboarding employees, attending job fairs, as needed, under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Assist in the administration of training and development, performance management, policy interpretation, document preparation, as needed, under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Assist with the Wellness Program, as needed, under the direction of the Carolina Core Wellness team.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, and facilitate timely response to any inquiries.
  • Serves as a core values advocate and role model.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience planning employee events preferred.

Physical Requirments:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
