Finance and Operations Intern

AION Biosystems is seeking a Finance and Operations Intern. As part of our unique and highly skilled team, you will bring organization and professionalism and the capability to provide strategic and creative solutions. We are seeking someone to assist with day-to-day business functions. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and keep correspondence and meetings focused to drive action-oriented goals and deliverables
  • Develop and manage meeting communications and cadence of regularly scheduled meetings, including documenting next steps and deliverables
  • Strategize with executive team members to determine and prioritize business and operational strategy
  • Develop and design presentations, primarily in Power Point, that advance key business objectives and tell the story through clean, concise, and well-organized slides
  • Support marketing activities by producing decks and teasers, manage the company website, and social media accounts
  • Support clinical trial programming including drafting protocols and KPIs and leading follow up with clients and partners
  • Work directly with patients (support program launches with customers)
  • Support Sales team
  • Performs clerical, strategic, and operational tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other document management.
  • Interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics, whether preparing for a critical Board or Directors presentation, or assisting in developing slides for client meetings
  • Oversee the website design and upkeep
  • Support executive management with major projects
  • Support fundraising activities
  • Build relationships with vendors and pay bills
  • Budget for the fiscal year

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to own projects from start to finish
  • History of being able to deliver results in a timely and professional manner
  • Exhibits composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable using both MAC and PCs
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in all tasks
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to direct independent work effort in a cooperative environment
  • Must be within commuting distance to Darien, Connecticut
