Community Engagement Intern

Position Overview

Aventiv Technologies is currently seeking a student pursuing a degree in Business Administration/Management, Public Affairs/Policy, Marketing, Communications, Political Science or any of the Social Sciences as an intern to begin in May/June and work full-time hours during the summer. The internship will give students and/or recent graduates hands-on experience in all facets of our operations and a unique experience with technology for rehabilitative justice. The position will report to the Vice President & Head of Government Relations and Community Engagement.

 

Responsibilities

· Conduct research to identify potential new stakeholders, including community organizations, advocacy groups, friends & family coalitions and local businesses that align with Aventiv’s mission and values.

· Assist in developing engagement strategies to connect with stakeholders, preparing informational packets or presentations that highlight potential areas of collaboration.

· Help maintain a stakeholder database, ensuring information is up-to-date and categorizing stakeholders based on their interest, type of engagement, and feedback

· Help develop sales materials that highlight Aventiv’s community engagement efforts, showcasing how these initiatives create value for clients and differentiate Aventiv in the market.

· Support the sales team in organizing client engagement events or initiatives, demonstrating Aventiv's commitment to the community and its impact on enhancing service offerings

· Compile stories and case studies that illustrate the impact of Aventiv’s community engagement

· Establish feedback loops with stakeholders, government entities, and consumers to continuously improve community engagement strategies based on their input and needs.

· Work closely with social media, Web site, media relations, internal communications, and human resources teams to develop and disseminate community engagement content across multiple channels

· Present project conclusions to senior leadership

· Write internal and external articles highlighting the impacts and outcomes of community engagement efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Sociology, Nonprofit, Philanthropy, Communications, Marketing
  • You have a high school diploma or GED
