Writing Intern

We are an EdTech company that provides Middle Schoolers to College+ a SaaS platform to improve their reading skills while learning about important issues impacting their lives.

The Juice delivers fresh, original content every day that improves reading comprehension, expands vocabulary, fosters quantitative reasoning, and builds critical thinking. Students need to spend approximately 15-20 minutes per day to get the greatest benefits from The Juice.

We are looking to hire a writing intern to join our team. This person will be expected to participate in weekly editorial meetings, pitch stories for the day’s issue, and write content. Hours for the job are Sunday-Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m. EST each day.

The role demands sound journalistic judgment since you will review, select, contextualize, and help write the day’s most relevant stories across many categories, such as world news, US news, business news, etc. You will be part of a team of journalists and educators. Stories are 220-250 words in length. As part of this process, you will also write headlines.

We seek balance in all our reporting and seek to present the perspective of all sides.

This internship can be taken for school credit, if your university allows.

  • Knowledge of AP Style Guide
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite
  • Highly organized
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
