Securitas Internship, User Experience

We are excited to offer students the chance to embark on a hands-on learning journey through our UX Internship Program at our US Operating Center. This program is tailored for undergraduate students eager to apply their knowledge in User Experience (UX) design and research within our dynamic organization. Interns will embark on a 12-15-week internship journey, dedicating 20-30 hours each week. Throughout this program, you will dive deep into various UX disciplines such as User Research, Interface Design, User Testing, and Prototyping through the lens of delivering a feature in one of our many products. You will contribute new perspectives, innovative ideas, and specialized skills to enhance our digital experiences. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to deliver an End-of-Assignment Presentation with your product team, showcasing your learning and contributions. Successful interns may be considered for return internships or potential full-time roles in the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

User Research

  • Participate in user research initiatives to gather insights and identify user needs, including:
    • Surveys
    • Interviews
    • Usability Testing

Interface Design 

  • Assist in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for our digital products using Figma.

PROTOTYPING

  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes to illustrate design concepts and facilitate user testing.

User Testing 

  • Support the execution of user testing sessions, analyze feedback, and propose design improvements.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure design consistency and coherence across our digital offerings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY


Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

Undergraduate students majoring in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Humanities, or a related field with a Graduation date between December 2023 - May 2026

Competencies:

  • Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD). 
  • Strong understanding of usability principles, heuristics, and design thinking.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
