(seasonal) Fitness Center Staff

We are seeking Fitness Center Staff who play an essential role in the US Open guest experience. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the opportunity to assist and deliver customer service to visitors from around the world. Our team members genuinely enjoy interacting with people, know what it takes to provide excellent customer service.

 

The Role

  • Dust gym equipment as needed
  • Track and maintain the scheduling for the Quiet Rooms
  • Maintain cleanliness of the fitness center throughout the day
  • Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
  • Prepare location at the end of the night for next day use
  • Track and maintain equipment given to players
  • Track, count and bag all out-going towels to be washed
  • Empty all trash and dirty towel receptacles
  • Coordinate with cleaning crew for trash removal, floors mopped and other cleaning duties
  • Keep fitness center stocked with towels and beverages
  • Advise supervisor of any items that need replenishment/restock
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Who You Are

  • Previous guest or customer service related experience 
  • Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
  • Must maintain a positive demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament and be available days, nights, weekends and extended hours
  • Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willing to stand for extended periods of time
  • Convey all player requests to Player Operations Manager for consideration
  • Heavy lifting required at times
  • Bilingual (preferred)


Salary: $17 per hour; overtime eligible

$35 daily meal allowance during tournament (via credential)

Housing and Transportation are not provided
