Content Coordinator/Assistant

The Content Coordinator/Assistant directly assists the Website Manager with content creation and administrative support.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Managing content and pages on the website, ensuring accuracy and completeness of copy and content, including grammar, punctuation, style, and factual information
-Adding new content weekly and keeping the event calendar up to date
-Optimizing top performing website pages
-Coordinating the weekly newsletter, plus a minimum of 3 social media posts per week
-Researching seasonal event happenings and topics
-Identifying social media trends and opportunities

Skills

-Good grammar and writing skills a must
-Comfortable with G Suite or similar (Word, Excel)
-It will be required of you to learn and use MetroPublisher, our content management system, Loomly, our social media manager for FB, IG and X, and Google Analytics for website performance analysis. Training will be provided if necessary.

Qualities

The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, open to taking direction, and able to communicate clearly, effectively, and proactively. A collaborative attitude, solution-oriented mindset, and strong attention to detail are all a MUST.

Location

This is a remote position. All collaboration will be via email, text, screenshares and phone calls. Video conferencing is not used/required.

Hours

This is currently a part time position with a minimum of 10 hours per week. Opportunities to increase hours may come up, especially during busy times of the year, and/or depending on the website's growth and the candidate's availability.
