Policy Team: Policy Investigator
CAIR-Florida is seeking a Policy Investigator for our 2024 Summer Internship program. As a Policy Research Intern, you will contribute to our advocacy efforts by conducting in-depth research on policy issues affecting our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research on policy issues relevant to CAIR-Florida’s mission.
- Analyze legislative developments and prepare summaries for internal use.
- Support in drafting policy memos and reports.
- Assist in tracking and monitoring policy trends.
- Collaborate with the Policy Analyst and Advocacy Teams.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with legislative processes.
- Commitment to CAIR-FL’s mission and values.
Time Commitment:
Internships typically last 10-12 weeks, depending on whether they are full-time or part-time. Full-time internships require a commitment of 35 hours per week, while part-time internships necessitate a commitment of 20 hours per week.
Stipend:
A stipend is provided for eligible students who do not receive course credit or external funding and possess lawful authorization to work.
