Do you want to work for the most effective nonprofit in patient advocacy and join a truly dynamic team impacting the healthcare landscape? What about a chance to make a difference in the lives of over 100 million patients who live with liver disease globally? If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to advancing creative and thoughtful solutions to improve the lives of those affected by liver disease, we want to hear from you.

The Global Liver Institute (GLI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by liver disease by promoting innovation, encouraging collaboration, and scaling optimal approaches to help eradicate liver diseases. We believe that by collaborating with patients, the medical community, other advocacy organizations, and our corporate partners, we will achieve our vision for liver health to take its proper place on the global public health agenda consistent with its prevalence and impact. In just seven years, GLI has grown from a social impact start-up to an international nonprofit with an expanding list of programs and initiatives serving patients and the liver health community.

About LHPH Program:

Long overlooked is the fact that liver disease poses a risk to everyone, given the universality of the organ. Progress and advocacy efforts have so far centered primarily on individual liver diseases, neglecting the broader concept of holistic liver health as an essential component of public health. This encompasses areas ranging from nutrition, physical activity, and preventative measures to the management of risk factors, education, support, and the establishment of optimal clinical pathways and policies for individuals across all age groups.

In response, the Global Liver Institute (GLI) is dedicated to raising awareness about liver health and integrating it into the global public health agenda. This commitment is being realized through the launch of the Liver Health is Public Health (LHPH) initiative. The initiative aims to educate the public and make disease prevention easily accessible. It will also facilitate the adoption of best practices that support personalized interventions, taking into account the disease stage, individual preferences, values, language, cultural, geographic, and socioeconomic factors
