Human Resources Intern (Bilingual Mandarin)

Work Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Job Type: Full-time Internship

The duration of the internship: 3-6 Months

Pay Rate: $20 - $22 Per Hour

 

SUMMARY

We are looking for a bi-lingual English-Mandarin HR Intern to provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Team on day-to-day operations including recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and records management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains and updates employee’s personnel files and ensures compliance for audit-readiness
  • Prepares new employee files and files papers and documents into employee files.
  • Assists in recruiting and hiring including posting job openings, conducting phone screens, creating offer letters, and ordering background checks.
  • Maintains the applicant tracking system so that it tracks applicant status and records reasons for hiring and not hiring applicants.
  • Assists in processing biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and tracks new hire processes to ensure all processes are completed and new hire documents are completed.
  • Maintains and updates HR-related SOP docs.
  • Processes weekly and monthly HR reports including workers compensation, 401k contribution, staffing agency timecard, and other HR payment applications.
  • Assists in administering employee benefit programs. E.g. Group Health Insurance, 401K retirement program including entering payroll deductions and enrolling/terminating employees benefits timely.
  • Assists the HR Team with the corporate events and employee recognition programs.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
  • Assists with processing of employee terminations.
  • Assists with the ISO 9001 auditing process for the HR department.
  • Schedules conferences/employee meetings by reserving the facility meeting room.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bi-lingual English-Mandarin is required.
  • Bachelor degree in HR/Business Administration/Psychology related field preferred or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate/graduate program
     
  • Previous experience and knowledge with ADP Workforce Now is preferable.

  • Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Safety and security-the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Confidentiality - Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
