Digital Asset Management Business Season 2024-2025 Student Associate Program

Who are we hiring?

The Madison Square Garden Digital Asset Management Specialist is a skilled technical operator who has an understanding of workflows and technology. He/she/they main objective is to resolve any issues that could impact on-time delivery, protection, and retrieval of digital assets; and to support the Director, of Digital Assets Management on special projects. Additionally, they act as leaders and change agents in the operation, supporting marketing production on new workflows and technology.   

This position will also work directly with the marketing production team to provide strategic recommendations, acting as leaders and change agents in the marketing environment. The Specialist will play a key role in improving access to the current digital asset management system to improve searchability; provide database training to staff as needed; and support the digitization and protection of assets. Finally, this person will be responsible for supervising the fulfillment of the marketing team’s digital assets needs as it pertains to edit prep, asset retrieval, archiving, and distribution.

Student Associate Program Overview

Specialist Asset Management:

  • Catalog assets in the digital management system; assess the long-term value of assets.
  • Provide support for digital delivery applications and workflows.
  • Monitor and maintain available workspace on in-house shared storage.
  • Manage file archiving in the working environment & long-term storage.
  • Documenting and creating SOP for any newly added procedures in the marketing environment.
  • Comprehensively track & reconcile technical issues.
  • Manage digital assets being added to storage, ensuring end users have enough working space.
  • Facilitate consolidation of hard drives to cloud storage or local storage.
  • Manage file archiving in the working environment & long-term storage.

 

What do you need to succeed?

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience working in a creative production environment.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and workflows.
  • Must have experience with digital media workflows including but not limited to transcoding and digital file delivery.
  • Must have experience with digital media files and codecs- QT,MXF,DNXHD & ProRes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multiple departments, clients and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment.

Requirements: 

  • Must be available to work 21-35 hours a week.
  • Must be available from early October- end of April.
  • Must be enrolled as a rising junior, senior, or graduate student.
  • Must have a GPA of 3.2 or above.
