Human Resource Business Partner I

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Human Resource Business Partner to join our HR Team based in Mobile, AL.

 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning strategic objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP works directly with the HR Director and serves as a consultant to management by guiding and advising on operational and strategic HR topics. The HRBP is responsible for delivering high quality, customer-focused service, supporting all levels of employees by developing, implementing, coordinating and maintaining HR projects, programs, processes and policies, as well as supporting employee engagement. The HRBP is an ambassador of people management practices and a driver of change who demonstrates their influence and partnership skills to improve the company. This position will work with individuals and teams, both nationally and internationally to deliver projects on behalf of Airbus teams.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

  • Ensures high quality and consistent HR services are delivered to employees and management for customer groups. These services include, but are not limited to; Employee Relations, Organization Development and Design, Change Management, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Employee Training & Development, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Retention.
  • Collaborate with recruitment and hiring managers to confirm job requirements, competencies, selection criteria, salary budget, support the search strategy and negotiate offers.
  • Provide management and guidance to leaders and employees in all related HR areas in support of the Airbus Americas business objectives
  • Support implementation of organization development and change management programs
  • Manage employee relation activities, provide coaching and counseling to ensure effective outcomes
  • Lead the coordination of performance management, training and development, people review, succession planning and career development
  • Manage all recruitment activities for assigned area of business including new employee orientation
  • Support the exit process of terminating employees
  • Responsible for responding to Ethics and Compliance complaints as well as employee speak up concerns. To Include performing full investigation, documentation of the situation and all statements, reporting of findings as well as developing a solution.
  • Responsible to engage with all employees in assigned work groups and develop an appreciation of their relationships with each other and their job roles.
  • Support managers and supervisors in communicating with employees in problem-resolution; completing required administrative tasks and providing access to company resources i.e., copies of policies, employee forms, etc.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors in the administration and implementation of plant and company-wide programs such as Reward and Recognition Programs, annual company-supported charity drives, etc.
  • Work closely with managers and supervisors in documenting and evaluating appropriate action to take relative to employee performance.
  • In conjunction with managers and supervisors identifies and/or responds to pay issues within the group and seeks advice and counsel from recognized internal resources.
  • Apply knowledge of HRIS systems to provide comparative, summary and prospective data to respond to manager inquiries.
  • Participate as an HR professional in Airbus Americas-wide projects furthering HR programs.
  • Implements and maintains policies and programs that support and improve the positive culture and engagement of the workforce. Participates in cross functional and divisional initiatives within the HR community to ensure communications and collaboration on projects, planning and programs.

 

Your boarding pass:

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Preferred: One year of experience as a human resources generalist engaged in a multi-functional role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a multi-functional international environment.
  • Preferred: SPHR or SHRM-CP certification
