JOB SUMMARY:

The Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE) seeks a creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the outreach and marketing efforts of the department. In this role, the coordinator will assist the Communications Manager in content marketing including copywriting, video production, and graphic design for digital and print projects. These duties will intersect with a particular focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media accounts and creating graphic designs with Adobe Create Cloud products, Canva, or related software.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Write and design daily content for the OEE social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Assist in designing assets for social media and physical materials like flyers, rack cards, and other promotional materials utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud products and Canva.
  • Support the Communications Manager in developing internal communication guidelines and best practices regarding DEI efforts.
  • Coordinate with the Small Business Initiative, the Veterans’ Bonus Division, and other Treasury departments as assigned to assist with their communications strategies.
  • Assist with developing Reels and other video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Work with creative vendors as needed.
  • Assist staff by promoting their events and programs through various digital venues.
  • Represent OEE by staffing in-person and virtual events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in economic empowerment and financial education.
  • Prior experience supporting DEIB initiatives.
  • Basic to intermediate Adobe Creative Suite skills.
  • Basic to intermediate photo and video editing skills.
  • Experience with Canva or any related software.
  • Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Current students of a 4-year undergraduate or graduate program studying Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design encouraged to apply.
