Event Planning Intern

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Planning Intern to join our team. As an Event Planning Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in planning and executing tradeshows and conventions and selling of event space and exhibitor management. This internship will provide valuable insight into the event planning industry and allow you to develop essential skills for a successful career in this field.

Duties:

- Assist in the planning and coordination of event, including conferences and tradeshow.

- Research and identify potential event venues, vendors, and suppliers

- Selling of booth space and sponsorships to exhibitors

- Exhibitor and account management

- Help negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions

- Collaborate with the events team to develop event concepts, themes, and marketing strategies

- Assist in creating event timelines and managing event budgets

- Coordinate logistics such as catering, transportation, accommodations, and audiovisual equipment

- Support the setup and breakdown of event spaces

- Assist with on-site event management and ensure smooth operations during events

- Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements

Skills:

** Must be fluent in English & Spanish **

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Knowledge of event planning software is a plus

- Familiarity with market trends in events management and hospitality industry

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
