Copywriter Internship

ZAG Creates is excited to offer a Copywriter Internship for individuals passionate about embarking on a career in the Advertising or PR industry. We are seeking interns who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. As a Copywriter Intern, you will play a supportive role within ZAG’s Creative Services team, helping to shape the voice of our brand as well as our client’s brands across a variety of platforms. This includes digital media (web, emails, and digital advertising), physical consumer experiences (retail and events), product naming and packaging, PR efforts, and internal projects. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to polished, final deliverables, working independently or alongside other creatives under the guidance of supervisors. This internship requires individuals who are detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and can collaborate effectively while taking direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collaborating with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding, marketing, and advertising initiatives.
  • Support in writing copy, slogans, and creative concepts for advertising campaigns.
  • Engage in researching industry-related topics and identifying gaps in our content.
  • Help edit and fact-check content generated by colleagues.
  • Contribute original and creative social media, and ad copy for client and company accounts.
  • Learn to use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility.
  • Participate in shaping language and tone used in sales emails, banners, and brochures.
  • Collaborate with the in-house creative team to support creating strategic marketing assets for projects.
  • Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts under supervision.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team player and meet tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay informed about branding and advertising trends across all mediums.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the creative team. 

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master’s degree students are also encouraged to apply.
  • Eagerness to learn about both digital and print marketing/advertising.
  • An understanding of written communication, both short- and long-form, is advantageous.
  • Creative thinking and willingness to contribute to team efforts.
  • An understanding of marketing and advertising principles.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Keen to learn about the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
  • Must be open to working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ready to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution.
