Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach

Randolph Public Schools Athletics Department is seeking a Boys Varsity Head Basketball Coach.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

●Maintain healthy relations with parents, officials, volunteers, and fans.
● Attend pre-season & post-season coaches meetings with Athletic Director.
● Attend any league or MIAA required meetings.
● Conduct a pre-season parent meeting to set expectations.
● Conduct a post-season banquet to recognize accomplishments.
● Facilitate in community services opportunities as well as leading fundraising.
● Organize and plan various camps and clinics to help develop players and coaches.
● Maintain MIAA, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
● Be a resource for parents & student-athletes in the NCAA recruiting process.
● Effectively communicate and work with students, administrators, staff, parents, and the
community program requirements.
● Have a thorough knowledge of the school policies, athletic policies, MIAA rules and
regulations.
● Follow the field & building schedule for practice times and locations.
● Be a positive role model and motivator, exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability.
This includes working with other teams in the department.
● Communicate with athletic trainer concerning injuries and student playing status.
● Effectively communicate to the Athletic Director program needs in a timely fashion.
●Develop safe, competitive, and active practice plans.
● Maintain accurate statistics for program.
● Develop road maps for athletes in positional groups
● Set clear expectations for players & parents throughout the year.
● Provide effective player feedback on performance.
● Effectively create a game plan for upcoming opponents.
● Execute an off-season program to ensure academic and athletic success for the upcoming
season.
● Conduct a youth camp or clinic once a year to foster a community connection.

 

This position requires:  MIAA Coaches Certification, Prior Playing and Coaching Experience, and successful completion of a CORI. A strong commitment to academic and athletic success of all student-athletes is expected as well as effective communication skills.
