Community Outreach Associate

Join our event fundraising firm dedicated to making a positive impact in the community! We specialize in organizing and executing fundraising events that support various charitable causes and initiatives. As a Community Outreach Associate, you will play a vital role in building relationships with community members, promoting our events, and engaging individuals and organizations to support our fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community members, local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and other organizations to promote awareness of our fundraising events and initiatives.
  • Event Promotion: Create and implement outreach strategies to promote upcoming fundraising events, including distributing flyers, posters, and promotional materials in the community.
  • Networking: Attend community events, meetings, and networking functions to represent our organization, build connections, and identify potential partners, sponsors, and donors.
  • Public Speaking: Deliver presentations and speeches at community gatherings, schools, and organizations to raise awareness about our mission, programs, and fundraising goals.
  • Media Relations: Assist in media relations efforts, including writing press releases, pitching stories to local media outlets, and coordinating interviews to generate publicity for our events and initiatives.
  • Donor Cultivation: Cultivate relationships with individual donors and corporate sponsors, providing updates on our fundraising activities and expressing appreciation for their support.
  • Social Media Management: Manage social media channels to engage with community members, share event updates and success stories, and foster a sense of community around our cause.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to community outreach efforts, event attendance, and donor engagement to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, to attend community events and meetings.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in community outreach, event planning, nonprofit work, or related fields is preferred but not required.
